Our Scruffy Little Patch of Earth
This is home. Crooked porch, stubborn soil, loud dogs, too many projects, and a whole lot of stubborn love poured into it anyway.
What We're Growing Out Here
Maple Fen is our little patch of earth where we're learning to live slower, grow wiser, and take better care of the bodies God gave us. We raise chickens, tend bees, tap maple, grow herbs, and turn all that work into real things you can use—teas, tinctures, pantry staples, and cozy comforts for everyday life.
We're not perfect, fancy, or filtered. We're just a husband and wife on a scruffy homestead, trying to trade processed junk and stress for healthier choices, deeper faith, and a life that actually feels like living.
The Garden & Trees
Herbs, vegetables, stubborn berry canes, and the maple trees that gave this place its name. Some years are generous, some years are greedy, but there's always something worth learning.
Chickens, Bees & Critters
Loud roosters, opinionated hens, busy bees, spoiled dogs, and whatever else wanders through. They keep us laughing, humble, and occasionally running.
Kitchen Table Experiments
Teas, tinctures, ferments, broths, and the kind of kitchen experiments that turn into real recipes—or stories about why we should never do that again.
